About the Role:

This is an exciting time to join the team as we are transforming HR and enabling our business growth. Not only will you be advising and coaching our managers on a range of HR matters, but you will have the opportunity to work with us on our people strategy projects. Delivering a great, high quality HR service is our aim, so you will be customer-focused with a drive for continuous improvement.

This role is Full-time, Permanent working Monday – Friday. requires a full driving licence, and you'll have your own vehicle that can be used for work purposes. The salary for this role is £33,600.00 per annum. This role includes working regionally across Manchester, Preston and Liverpool - home working is available but we're unable to provide specific WFH days due to business requirements.

About You: We’re after someone who’s approachable and great at building relationships, with excellent communication skills and a real passion for people. You’ll have experience in providing advice on HR policies and processes, and you’re confident in dealing with issues like performance management, absence, and disciplinary matters.

Organised and detail-oriented, you’ll also be comfortable handling confidential information and working independently. A CIPD Level 5 CIPD or equivalent is essential. You will have sound knowledge of HR and employment law and be experienced in building relationships with line managers, supporting them on and the full range of HR policies and procedures and how to get the best out of their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer friendly, practical HR advice and coaching to managers and employees on a variety of issues, including performance, absence, and grievances.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding, making sure everything runs smoothly and in line with our safer recruitment policies.
  • Keep HR records up-to-date and help managers navigate our HR processes.
  • Carry out compliance checks and audits to ensure we’re following best practice.
  • Conduct exit interviews to gather useful insights and help us improve retention.
  • Work alongside the HR Business Partner and Head of HR on employee engagement and wellbeing projects.
  • Help deliver training to managers on HR policies and processes.
  • Collaborate with the Payroll & Data Officer to ensure workforce changes are accurately reflected for payroll purposes.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure we comply with data protection laws.

Requirements:

  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent.
  • Experience advising managers and employees on a range of HR matters.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with attention to detail.
  • Confident using Microsoft Word, Excel, and HR databases.
  • Able to work on your own initiative and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Solid understanding of UK employment law.
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
  • Satisfactory basic DBS check.
