What We Do | Support
Specialist Support
Safe and comfortable accommodation isn’t the only thing our service users need. Many of them come from dysfunctional or disadvantaged backgrounds, and they often have a mix of mental health needs. Some are asylum seekers too, far from home and traumatised by their experiences. To give each one of them the best chance of leading a healthy, happy and independent life, we train our different staff members in a wide range of specialist areas, including:
Conflict Resolution, Safeguarding, Protection of Vulnerable Adults (POVA), Protection of Vulnerable Children (POCA), Diversity, Housing Law, HIV and AIDS awareness, Sexual Health, Child Sexual Exploitation, Asylum, Working with ADHA, Alcohol and Substance Misuse, Child Protection, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Self-harm, Benefit advice (including Universal Credit), Working with People with Learning Disabilities
