On the 8th of November, Bedspace attended the NASAP conference — a fantastic opportunity for supported accommodation providers to come together, share insights, and connect with like-minded organisations dedicated to helping children and young people thrive.

Throughout the day, we visited stalls from companies supporting providers with compliance, training, and essential services, while also attending inspiring keynote sessions. One highlight was hearing Prince Schulz speak on his lived experience as a care leaver. His journey, commitment to mentoring young people, and valuable advice on engaging those who may be harder to reach were incredibly motivating.

The day closed with an insightful update from Ofsted, touching on inspections and best practices, alongside sessions from charities supporting missing young people, care leavers and others who shared their lived experiences.

Networking with peers at NASAP reminded us of the importance of collaboration over competition—all with the shared goal of providing the best approach possible to the people we support. A special thank you to NASAP for bringing us all together!

It was also a fantastic opportunity for our Regional Service Managers, Anna and Tom, to connect and discuss the valuable insights we gained to bring back to our teams.
