Bedspace Volunteering Program | Sue Kaveney & the Poppy Appeal
11 11 21
Bedspace are proud to be launching their Employee Volunteering policy which will allow all team members 1 day per year to support a charity of their choice. In advance of this our Director of People and Charities, Sue Kaveney, has continued her voluntary work with the Royal British Legion during Poppy Appeal. Sue has volunteered with the RBL for over 10 years and at Poppy Appeal time leads a group of volunteers who collect at her local Tesco store.
“It is vitally important to us that we allow our team the time to support their local communities and charities in which they may have a personal connection. COVID has seen charities suffer enormously with the lack of being able to get out and fundraise, but this year we have seen an overwhelming generosity from the public and we are hoping to have raised around £10k in our store alone during the 2 weeks. As well as giving back, volunteering is a great way for our team to get involved, develop themselves personally and for us to see the impact of their time out back in the workplace”.
