According to GOV.UK, "the number of children looked after (CLA) by local authorities in England rose to 83,840 - up 2% - continuing the rise seen in recent years. This is a rate of 71 children looked after per 10,000 children - up from 70 last year." This news has raised concerns about how this might impact the well-being of vulnerable children who have already been through traumatic experiences.
