National Care Leavers' Week 2024 Has Begun! 🌟

 

This week, we’re joining the rest of the country in recognising and celebrating care leavers. The theme this year, "All of Us, We Are One," highlights the power of connections and the importance of fostering a supportive community.

 

In keeping with this theme, we’ve lined up a series of exciting activities across our regions to mark the week. Each day, we’ll be sharing highlights from these events, starting with a fantastic celebration hosted by our Preston team last week! 

 

The Preston team organised a memorable day split between two locations. The people we support began the day with a scavenger hunt through the beautiful Brockholes Nature Reserve, followed by a feast and social gathering at the Preston office. Preston Team Leader, Peter Thomson, shared his thoughts on the day: "We were successful in bringing together a variety of the people we support across our services, all of whom thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The glorious weather was a bonus. A huge well done to everyone who attended and to the team for putting it all together."
