Registered Service Manager - Yorkshire

About the Role:
As a Registered Service Manager, you will be responsible for managing and ensuring the quality of our services in line with OFSTED regulations, Local Authority Quality standards, and contractual obligations. You will work within the OFSTED framework, ensuring compliance and maintaining high standards across various services, including Group Living, Trainer Flats, Solos, and Outreach. You will be covering multi-site services across the North West of England.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of Team Managers responsible for the day-to-day running of the service within your area.
Ensure the service meets the Quality Standards and delivers positive outcomes for the young people it supports.
Maintain and regularly review the Statement of Purpose to ensure it remains young person focused.
Collaborate with the Head of Service Delivery and Director of Business Development to identify, plan, deliver, and review new services and opportunities.
Oversee financial budgeting and resource management.
Implement quality assurance systems and ensure legal and statutory compliance.
Act as the lead on operational matters, providing progress updates to senior management.
Working with Head of QA to carry out internal quality assurances audits and Inspections
Working within the Service Delivery Team that consists of other RSMs, Heads of Service Delivery, and Head of QA.
Supporting the Transformation Team with Change Management Projects.
Working with the Director of HR to implement the People Strategy, ensuring the workforce plan meets regulation requirements.
Ensure compliance with organisational requirements for data protection, risk management, safeguarding, health & safety, and other legal and statutory requirements.
Provide effective leadership and management to staff, promoting a culture of service excellence.
What We're Looking For:
At least two years’ experience in a position relevant to residential/outreach support of children or adults within the previous five years within Management of the Social Care or Housing Sector.
Comprehensive understanding of the OFSTED framework, including the Quality Standards Guide 2023.
Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification or willingness to work towards.
An understanding of the complex environment we work in and the interdependencies of mental health, developmental trauma, substance misuse, and offending behaviour.
Experience in setting high standards, ensuring compliance, and sharing best practices.
Excellent communication skills and experience in developing and nurturing partnerships with external agencies and internal partners.
Leadership qualities with strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
Experience in managing a team in a support or service delivery setting.
Knowledge of supported living requirements and issues affecting vulnerable people.
Professional and values-led with integrity, inclusivity, and respect for diversity.
Ability to work in a challenging environment and demonstrate flexibility and resilience.
Flexibility and willingness to travel across the Yorkshire area; additionally our main offices are in Liverpool, Manchester and Preston. The role is home based but you should expect to be out circa 3 days a week.
